If you experience connection problems... The first sign you normally get of your connection freezing is that the sounds disappears. First step is to broadcast a message asking if you are the only one missing the sound. This also alerts the moderator that there is a problem. If just one other person confirms that he/she HAS sound, then the problem is with YOUR CONNECTION or IN YOUR COMPUTER. If no-one else has sound, then it is the MODERATOR'S CONNECTION - and you should alert the moderator through a personal message, if the moderator has not already taken the action below: You can often improve your own connection by logging out and logging in again. Use the File botton in the upper left corner of the window for the voice room and click on the "Log-out" option on the drop-down menu. When you log out this way, the window remains on your screen, and you do not need to restart the software, but can just use the same menu to log in again. However, this time, you will be rerouted through the Internet via a different path - and that might be what you needed in order to solve the problem with a bad connection. When back in, send a message "Refresh", so the moderator can send out the last slide once again. If the problem persists, then it generally indicates that you have a virus-infected computer... This can sometimes be solved temporarily by shutting down the software and restarting it again, or even reloading it from the server again. As you know, the little software program you downloaded is an .exe file - which means that it is an excuting program. Viruses very often attach themselves to such programs, as it is one of their ways of multiplying themselves. But this little program cannot handle carrying a virus around - it makes it perform too slowly - and in 95% of the cases of your sound disappearing even though your bandwidth on your Internet connection is sufficient, THIS is the reason... If you cannot solve the problem during the time the webinar runs, then you are always welcome to participate in the same webinar again at a later time. You do this by simply resending your affidavit or a reference to it via hushmail to novasol-office@hushmail.com, so we can quickly check and respond by sending you the password.
